Brian F. Gagan
Brian is a Leadership
Strategies, LLC partner and holds management and human
resources degrees from the University of Maine and Syracuse
University. He has lived throughout America and in Europe
and his background includes large business unit management
experience and more than twenty years in the human resources
arena. He maintains an active role with several Board
appointments and he has worked with companies in nearly
all business sectors, large and small, domestic and international.
He has held executive and officer positions with The Maine
Medical Center, Burger King Corporation, The Pepsi-Cola
Company, and Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation. Some
of Brian’s primary areas of specialty are mergers
and acquisitions, elimination of organized labor influences,
organizational structuring, senior executive performance
improvement, board functionality, international expansion,
executive compensation and perquisite design having a
direct effect on organizational financial performance
improvement, and peaceful elimination of human capital
performance roadblocks.
Kevin C. Grindle, PHR
Kevin is a Leadership
Strategies, LLC partner and has over 20 years of operations
and human resources management experience in the automotive
aftermarket industry. Kevin has owned and operated multiple
businesses and serves as an active Board member. He holds
Sociology and Communication degrees and is certified as
a Professional in Human Resources from The Society for
Human Resource Management. Some of Kevin’s primary
areas of specialty are organizational design/effectiveness,
employee relations, executive search, training and development,
coaching and mentoring, career transition, total reward
system design, human asset analysis, mergers and acquisitions,
employee assessments and human capital retention.
Patricia M. Hayden
Patricia is the leader of
our Global Leadership practice and earned her Master
of Arts degree from UCLA in Latin American Studies and
International Economics and received her Bachelor of Science
degree from Georgetown University, where she graduated
with honors from the School of Languages and Linguistics.
She also studied International Affairs and European Studies
at the University of Madrid, Spain. Patricia has twelve
years experience providing global management consulting
and cross-cultural coaching services to over forty-five
companies in thirty countries around the world. She specializes
in the languages and cultures of South America, Latin
America, Europe, the Middle East and the Gulf States.
John G. Bruhn, Ph.D.
Dr. Bruhn leads our Organizational
Ethics practice and earned both his B.A. and M.A. degrees
from the University of Nebraska, and his Ph.D. in Medical
Sociology from Yale University. At Yale, Dr. Bruhn was
a Commonwealth Fund-Yale Fellow and a U.S. Public Health
Service Fellow. After graduation he received a U.S.
Fulbright Fellowship to the University of Edinburgh,
Scotland. He has also been a John E. Fogarty Health
Science Fellow to Poland and a World Health Organization
Fellow to Australia and New Zealand.
Dr. Bruhn has served as professor, Dean, Vice President
and Provost at several universities including The University
of Oklahoma and The University of Texas. He most recently
served as Provost and Dean and Professor of Sociology
at Penn State University-Harrisburg.
Dr. Bruhn is known for his outstanding contributions
in the areas of leadership, and management of complex
organizations during periods of growth, downsizing,
and reframing. He has well-honed skills in strategic
planning, development of partnerships and networks among
organizations, and business ethics. Dr. Bruhn is an
expert in assisting organizations in the use of trust
as a tool to maintain healthy and productive organizations
through teamwork, delegation, unified efforts and streamlined
decision-making.
Dr. Bruhn is the author of many articles and books
and has served as an expert advisor and consultant to
many state, national, and international organizations
in the areas of medicine, public health and organizational
performance and effectiveness. One of his most recent
books: “Trust
And The Health Of Organizations” published
by Kluwer/Plenum Publishers is an exceptional hardcover
resource devoted to the relationship between trust and
ethical leadership within organizations. The book is

Robert E. Meeks
Bob is the President
and Managing Partner of Oak Consulting. He has extensive
sales, marketing, merchandising, and general management
experience with consumer product companies in the chemical,
automotive, service, retail grocery, non-food and mass
merchandising industries.
After graduating from Indiana University in Bloomington,
Mr. Meeks spent 9 years with American Can Company, while
being promoted to various account and sales management
positions.
Prior to founding Oak Consulting in Chicago, Mr. Meeks
was a Partner at another consulting firm and was employed
for 15 years in executive roles with ECP, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Daubert Industries.
Mr. Meeks has been a board member of AT Home Health
and Cal-Tex Incorporated, and is a member of the American
Management Association.
Andrew R. Meeks
Andy has over eight years experience
in consulting with a diverse background in sales, sales
management, marketing and information systems management
with both emerging and established computer technology
companies.
He graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Management
and concentrations in marketing and international studies.
His experience includes regional management and marketing
executive positions in the computer software sector
as well as extensive Information Systems Management
experience in Internet computing, networking, systems
setup/maintenance, and the implementation of sales automation
systems.
Jo Ann Brusa, Ph.D.
Dr. Brusa received her Ph.D. in Psychology
from DePaul University and brings to her work a multi-faceted
background in organizational consulting, assessment,
training, development, executive coaching and group
and individual counseling. She has helped corporations
assess their organizations and human resources while
successfully managing the change process required during
the difficult task of reorganization.
Dr. Brusa is experienced in the administration and
interpretation of a wide range of behavioral, psychological,
and vocational instruments. She has worked extensively
with adults considering career changes and those seeking
professional development counseling. Using her research
and analytical expertise, she has helped organizations
evaluate their changing needs and structures, and provided
guidance for developing and implementing company-wide
improvement initiatives.
Dr. Brusa is an international speaker and author on
group development and leadership. Her expertise in working
with groups has made her a valued group trainer and
facilitator. Some of her most requested seminars and
workshops include: group problem solving, diversity
awareness, sexual harassment, violence in the workplace,
conflict resolution, team building, mentoring, and stress
management.
